The fire pit sits down into the deck surface, the hot tub into the raised section by the doors, and the flat rock entryway runs up to meet it. The water has to be drained deliberately away from the property rather than left to find its own way out, and the pipework has to be insulated — Provo's clay and its freeze-thaw cycle will find anything that is not.
