Tennis Court Construction in Salt Lake and Utah County in Utah
As a well respected Tennis Court contractor in Utah County we recommend that your Tennis Court be built to higher standards so that it can last and support the large ungapped piece of concrete. Because of this size we recommend all Tennis Courts be made with Post Tension concrete in Utah. Post Tension lasts longer than a regular concrete pad because it holds the concrete under tension reducing cracking as it ages. The bigger the court the more Post Tension is required because of the expanse that it must cover. It can actually save money when it comes to larger size courts because in order to make it comparably strong the concrete would have to be very thick which would be much more expensive.

The benefits of working with us for your Tennis Court are that we build large courts as well as small. We understand the imporantce of the foundation they are built on to make your court last. We also offer warranties on our products as well because we stand by our quality. We build the court from start to finish, so that every part is handed seemlessly to the next. We can also install Court Fencing and Court Accessories to make your court complete. We can also install Pickleball Courts and Basketball Courts on the same court if you want to have a multi-court. We offer a variety of paint options as well to design the court the way you want it.
Tennis Courts are four times larger than a standard pickleball court. A tennis court's standard dimensions is 60' x 120'. It is common to put 1 or two pickleball courts in a tennis court. However, you can fit four 30' x 60' Pickleball Courts inside of a standard Tennis Court as well.
Depending on the use for your court. We will recommend one or the other at the time of installation.
Tennis Court nets and posts can be put in sleeves so they can be removable. This can be very handy if you have a court that is also used for Pickleball Courts and Basketball Courts. There are also nets on wheels that can roll out as an alternative option for Pickleball Courts so your Tennis net can be stationary. This makes it easier for small children to move the net out of the way.

Process Breakdown of a Tennis Court:
- Site Preparation: This includes clearing the area, leveling the ground, and ensuring proper drainage.
- Foundation: This is the base of the court, which in Utah we recommend is made of concrete with a medium brush finish for better paint bonding. This is also where footings for basketball hoops are also poured as well with J-Bolts anchored into the concrete. Pickleball Court or Tennis Court sleeves are also placed in the poured concrete so that the poles can be slid in later.
- Can vary, depdning on your fencing options. If fencing poles are placed in the court, they are placed before the concrete is poured. If they are outside the court they can be done while the concrete is curing.
- Allow new concrete to fully cure (minimum 28 days) before applying acrylic coatings to ensure proper bonding.
- Acrylic Coating: This is applied to the surface of the court to provide a smooth, durable playing surface. It can also be painted with lines and colors. Please note that the acrylic coating is not applied until the concrete has fully cured, which can take up to 28 days. Once the paint is applied it can take 2-3 days to fully cure before it can be played on.
- Net and Posts (if posts were not put in earlier): The net and posts are installed to complete the court.
Tennis Court Pricing:
The cost of a Tennis Court can vary depending on the size, materials used, and any additional features such as fencing or lighting. On average, a standard Tennis Court in Utah can cost between $80,000 to $200,000. Because the area of a Tennis Court is so big, it is not uncommon to have retaining walls to level the area. This can significantly increase the cost of the court. It is also important to note that the cost of a Tennis Court can vary depending on the location and availability of materials.
