This way it will have room for a full basketball 3pt line. This does come with some disadvantages as well. In order to play basketball the net must be removed for pickleball. If the net is a rolling net this is possible for small children. However if the net is removed by pulling the posts out with sleeves then it becomes more difficult to remove. You will have to loosen the net to remove the tension off of the posts before pulling them out. Even pulling them out may be difficult if the sleeves fit a little tight to the posts.
