Pickleball courts are built in a variety of dimensions. They are most commonly built at a 30ft by 60ft. Pickleball courts can be poured in two different ways for concrete. For a regular concrete pad they are poured as a 4in-5in thick slab with rebar and or mesh to provide the strength.

For a Post Tension slab pickleball courts can be also be poured as a post tension slab. Post tension is more expensive but lasts longer than a regular concrete pad because it holds the concrete under tension reducing cracking as it ages. Depending on the use for your court. We will recommend one or the other at the time of installation. Pickleball Court nets and posts can be put in sleeves so they can be removable. This can be very handy if you have a court that is also used for Basketball Courts. There are also nets on wheels that can roll out as an alternative option. This makes it easier for small children to move the net out of the way.

Combining Multiple Sports Into One Court

Combning courts such as Pickleball Courts and Basketball Courts can be done within the same space. A common combination is to put the hoop on the side of the pickleball court. This way it will have room for a full basketball 3pt line. This does come with some disadvantages as well. In order to play basketball the net must be removed for pickleball. If the net is a rolling net this is possible for small children. However if the net is removed by pulling the posts out with sleeves then it becomes more difficult to remove. You will have to loosen the net to remove the tension off of the posts before pulling them out. Even pulling them out may be difficult if the sleeves fit a little tight to the posts.
